I love Verse 16 because it refers to faith in his name, and although I may not always have a great and perfect faith, I am exceedingly thankful that my faith is in a Great and Perfect Lord!

Peter is quick to acknowledge that it wasn't his power or piety that led to this miracle. Praise God that He is able to use weak and imperfect vessels like us! His power is more than sufficient. His perfect righteousness is imputed to us.

"But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled."
We can rest and rejoice in the promises of the Lord. Everything He says is true and all of His promises will be fulfilled. I am especially thankful for the promises made in regards to the Savior. My soul is safe with Him for all eternity!

He blots out our sin, refreshes our soul in His presence, and will restore all things promised. What an awesome God we serve.
